Literatur und Medien zur Geschichte der Menschenrechte

Hier finden Sie Hinweise auf Literatur und Medien, die in jüngerer Zeit erschienen sind. Das heißt, sie wurden größtenteils ab dem Jahr 2000 publiziert. Wir haben nur wenige frühere Hinweise aufgenommen, die uns nicht zuletzt für die Leserinnen und Leser im deutschsprachigen Raum wichtig erscheinen. Sie finden hier keine länderspezifische Literatur oder Medien, die über die Situation der Menschenrechte in bestimmten Regionen oder Staaten informieren. Dazu rufen Sie bitte die Bibliographien einzelner Staaten ab.

Nur wenn uns bezüglich der Entwicklung der Menschenrechte, die ständig im Fluss ist, eine lokale oder regionale Studie von besonderem Interesse für die allgemeine Diskussion und Entwicklung erscheint, wird sie in diese Bibliographie aufgenommen. Beispielsweise, wenn ein Recht der “dritten Generation”, wie das Recht auf Gesundheit, zum Gegenstand einer Studie wird, oder auch Themen der Globalisierung, die den aktuellen Diskurs beeinflussen und die Menschenrechte verändern.

In einigen Jahren werden es andere Themen sein, die den Diskurs über die Menschenrechte bestimmen. Fragen der Nachhaltigkeit und einer an den natürlichen Ressourcen orientierten Wirtschaft, die unser Klima, die Gesundheit und das Leben auf der Erbe bewahrt, werden allerdings gewiss dauerhaft Thema sein.
