Volkshochschule Bochum, Gustav-Heinemann-Platz 2-6, 44787 Bochum
In September 2019 the interactive Fritz Bauer Library with its stories of resistance and survival in Bochum went online. Named after the lawyer, social democrat and Auschwitz prosecutor Dr. Fritz Bauer (1903-1968), it is about history “In the struggle for human rights”, which coincides with the history of our democracy. Now Fritz Bauer’s courageous commitment to democracy and human rights is to be given a place in Bochum where human rights education in the media will become concrete.
Irmtrud Wojak, Jennifer Haas, Sven Rüsberg and Astrid Thews present the project for which the non-profit BUXUS STIFTUNG has found a fascinating place in Bochum and invite you to an exciting seminar and workshop.
The event is the prelude to a series of workshops organized by the Volkshochschule Bochum together with the Bochum City Library to build up the Fritz Bauer Library.
